One-third of Theatre Horizon's mission is dedicated to education because we believe that through arts education, children are given tools to grow as individuals, creatively, and as a member of a team. We offer education programs for a variety of age groups with the goal of both having fun and encouraging children to grow.

SATURDAY CLASSES (8 WEEKS)

Students learn the basic techniques that actors use on stage by using their bodies, minds, and voices to create characters. Through improve and acting exercises, they will work with scenes from different scripts as they learn the fundamentals of acting. No experience necessary!
SENSATIONAL STORYTELLING WORKSHOP (ONE DAY WORKSHOP)

In this exciting class, kids use imagination, costumes, props, and teamwork to bring some of their favorite stories to life. Working as an ensemble, young students adapt a well-known story to the stage as they are introduced to theatrical concepts like character development, story arc, and performance!
AUDITION TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP (ONE DAY WORKSHOP)

TIME: 2:00 - 5:00 PM
Nail the audition! In this workshop, teens will learn from Theatre Horizon’s Casting Director and Assistant Broadway Director how to make a good impression during an audition. Students will identify and hone their unique qualities and learn to bring themselves to the character that they are portraying. Workshop will include tips on monologue selection and performance, working with sides and cold readings, making bold choices, and owning the role from the moment you walk in the door. Workshop will include theatrical, commercial, and TV/film auditions. Students should come with a monologue, less than two minutes.
