tick, tick…BOOM!

October 9-27 2024

You asked and we listened: tick, tick…BOOM! is back by popular demand!

Book, Music, and Lyrics by Jonathan Larson
David Auburn, Script Consultant
Vocal Arrangements and Orchestrations by Stephen Oremus

Directed by Robi Hager and Steve Pacek
Featuring Elena Camp, Robi Hager, and Angel Sigala

Thank you to our Honorary Producers: Ruth & Sid Rosenblatt

tick, tick…BOOM! is a semi-autobiographical rock musical by Jonathan Larson, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning creator of the worldwide phenomenon Rent.  On his 30th birthday, a Musical Theater Composer (played by Broadway’s Robi Hager) navigates love, friendship, and everything in between, to achieve his big break. Our star-studded cast returns to tell this life-affirming story about the pressures of being an artist and the joys of creative fulfillment.

tick, tick…BOOM! was originally produced off-Broadway in June 2001, by Victoria Leacock, Robyn Goodman, Dede Harris, Lorie Cowen Levy, Beth Smith

tick, tick…BOOM! is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com

Young Americans

March 19 – April 6th 2025

by Lauren Yee

Buckle your seat belt for this road trip comedy by Lauren Yee (King of the Yees, Apple TV’s Pachinko).

Newly engaged immigrants Jenny and Joe meet for the first time driving cross-country to their home in Portland, Oregon. Twenty years later, Joe and their adopted daughter Lucy take the same trip after Lucy’s junior year abroad. Lauren Yee’s intergenerational comedy switches between these two trips with humor and heart, illuminating Joe, Lucy, and Jenny’s search for family, self, and a sense of belonging.

Penelope

May 7 – 18 2025

Music and Lyrics by Alex Bechtel
Book by Alex Bechtel, Grace McLean and Eva Steinmetz
Based on writings in The Odyssey by Homer
A Co-Production with the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival

“It’ll be a quick war,” he says, “I’ll come home right after,” he says. Twenty years later, we need a drink.

With a cocktail in one hand and a microphone in the other, Penelope takes to the stage to tell the story of her epic twenty-year wait on the tiny island of Ithaca while her husband, Odysseus, was off playing at war. This new one-woman musical from Alex Bechtel (The Appointment) and Eva Steinmetz (Poor Judge) combines soulful songs with a wit drier than your favorite martini to tell a story that is both intimate and explosive.
