Dear Theatre Horizon Community,
As we kick off our 20th anniversary season, we are feeling awfully nostalgic over here, and also very excited about our future. I met many of you as Erin Reilly and Matt Decker welcomed me into the fold at our 15th anniversary celebration before a concert performance of Into the Woods. I have loved getting to know this community–the people connected to Theatre Horizon and the relationships among them make this organization what it is.
Our 20th Anniversary Season will find us again welcoming a new leader as I will be embarking on a new adventure as the CEO & Producing Director of FringeArts this fall. It’s an exciting opportunity for me and my family and I’m grateful that I will remain connected to the theatre community I love, including all of you. After my departure, our Board of Directors will lead a process to find a new Artistic Director, and our talented Co-Founder, Matt Decker, will be serving as Interim AD..
If Erin and Matt taught me anything five years ago, it’s that there are many people who make any organization what it is, and that in the face of change, Theatre Horizon can thrive. I look forward to celebrating the 20 years past and the 20 years ahead with you all at our celebration in December and throughout the year.
Serving as Theatre Horizon’s Artistic Director for the past five years has been a gift I will treasure for the rest of my life. Thank you for trusting me to lead this incredible company. I will always be grateful.
Sincerely,
Nell
