General Subscription Questions

What is a subscription?

A subscription is a way to support Theatre Horizon AND guarantee your seats to future shows within our season. With a subscription, you purchase your tickets for the season in advance. That means no scrambling to buy tickets the day of or getting turned away because the show is sold out. It also means that you’re investing in Theatre Horizon and telling us that you’re just as excited about our season as we are! And as our thank you to you, we offer many exclusive subscriber benefits to our most loyal patrons: subscribers like yourself.

How many shows can I see with my Theatre Horizon subscription?

There are 3 subscription types this year: a 3-show subscription; a 5-show subscription; and a full-season (7-show) subscription.

For the 3 and 5-Show Flex Subscriptions, what productions can I choose for my subscription?

Each subscription includes a ticket to our spring musical so you don’t have to worry about the show selling out! Then, you may choose from the following: Coco Interactive Movie Screening; The Rocky Horror Picture Show Interactive Moving Screening; Siluetas in Concert; our Holiday Concert; Broccoli, Roosevelt, and Mr. House; and An Original Performance (Title TBA) by Priyanka Shetty! Each subscription, regardless of level, also includes a free ticket to our first event of the season, Sounds of Norristown: A Jazz Brunch.

What's the latest time at which I can subscribe?

We recommend subscribing by August 15, 2023, to receive the Early Bird discount—that’s $5 off each subscription price point! To use the Early Bird discount, enter the discount code GOEARLYBIRDS when purchasing. After August 15th, you can still subscribe at full prices—you have until the end of Broccoli, Roosevelt, and Mr. House (February 2024) to subscribe to three events.

When do I get my subscriber information?

After you purchase your subscription, you will receive a confirmation email with more information. We also send subscriber-only emails throughout the season with more details about the upcoming shows and reminders to reserve your seats!

What benefits do subscribers receive?

How do the complimentary tickets work for the Pay-It-Forward tiers?

Our Pay-it-Forward third price point gets you one extra ticket with your subscription, and our Pay-it-Forward fourth/highest price point gets you two extra tickets with your subscription. 

For 3-Show or 5-Show Flex Subscriptions, these complimentary tickets must be used toward a show you’ve already chosen as part of your subscription package.

For example, suppose you’ve purchased a 3-Show Flex Subscription at a Pay-It-Forward tier and chosen to see Siluetas In Concert, The Holiday Concert, and the Spring Musical. In that case, you cannot use your extra ticket(s) to see any show other than the three you’ve already selected. You must either bring a guest with you to one of those three shows OR use the complimentary ticket yourself to see one of those shows a second time. If you wanted to see a fourth production, such as Broccoli, Roosevelt, and Mr. House, you would need to purchase a separate ticket to see that show.

Extra leg room subscriptions are for tickets in Row E of our theatre—the row designated as our extra leg room seating. These subscriptions include an additional $10 per ticket in the subscription package. The pricing for an extra leg room subscription is below.

Why are you asking me to add a donation to my subscription order?

Subscribers support Theatre Horizon by purchasing tickets to our shows way in advance (before we’ve started rehearsals or even finished casting!), and we greatly appreciate their unwavering confidence in our artistic capabilities. However, ticket and subscription sales account for less than 10% of the yearly revenue needed to keep our professional theatre operating. When you add a tax-deductible donation to your subscription order, you help us bridge that income gap and ensure we can continue our mission to create affecting, transformative, and award-winning theatre in Norristown.

Reservation & Exchanges Questions

How do I reserve seats?

Stay tuned for more information on how to reserve your tickets for the 2023/24 Season! Subscribers can reserve their tickets online or by contacting the Box Office.

When I can reserve my seats?

Anytime. You can reserve all your seats at once or reserve show-by-show whenever you wish throughout the season. Tickets are subject to availability.

Do you mail me my tickets?

No, we have a hassle-free “ticketless” subscription policy! As long as you have received confirmation from us that your reservation has been completed, your tickets will be waiting for you at will call at the performance.

What if I need to exchange tickets?

Subscribers enjoy unlimited free ticket exchanges within a production, even if you miss your performance! Just call the box office at 610-283-2230 x1 or email Ticket@TheatreHorizon.org. Exchanges are subject to availability.

Can I use multiple tickets for the same production?

Tickets are not transferable between productions. However, if you purchase a Pay-It-Forward subscription of any type, you will receive a complimentary ticket (or two) to bring a friend with you to a show or use yourself to see a show a second time.

Miscellaneous Questions

Is Theatre Horizon's seating general admission?

No. Theatre Horizon has been operating as a reserved seating house since the 2014/15 Season.

What if I can't make any performances to a production but still want to subscribe?

One of the best aspects of a Theatre Horizon subscription is the flexibility. If you’re not certain you will be available for a show, we offer unlimited free exchanges within each event to our subscribers! You can also gift your tickets to a friend or family member—just reserve the tickets yourself or have them do it and they can pick up tickets under your name, no questions asked. And while Theatre Horizon is not able to refund you, you can convert tickets you aren’t using into a tax-deductible donation. Just choose the option that works best for you.

How do I receive my free concession when I come to a show?

If you purchase any subscription at the Pay-It-Forward price points, you will receive a concession voucher (up to a $5 value) via email that you can redeem at the Box Office.
