Offer a Drama Club at Your School!

In Theatre Horizon’s After School Drama Clubs, students are familiarized with the fundamentals of acting as they create and then perform their own original play. Led by professional teaching artists, students practice and develop the Connecting C’s: confidence & creativity, collaboration & communication, and community & care. Students meet for two hours once a week, and class culminates in a final showcase as students perform their world premiere original play for an audience of family and friends.

“The drama club was a great experience because I got to meet new people and I got to be myself—if I wanted to be goofy or silly that was ok.”
—Drama Club Student (2017)

“Theatre Horizon’s Drama Club has been very inspiring for our students. One of our actors, who was not much of a reader beforehand, became excited about reading by studying her script. Another student who barely spoke in class is now comfortable getting in front of an audience and presenting herself with confidence.”

—Laura Boquist, General Nash Drama Club Parent Coordinator (2016)
