OEDIPUS IN SEATTLE

Each night, two actors—who have never read the script or rehearsed—take the stage to perform the show for the first time!
In this wild, interactive mashup of the Greek tragedy Oedipus Rex and the Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan rom-com Sleepless in Seattle, two unsuspecting actors play Oedipus/Meg Ryan, and Jocasta/Tom Hanks. Guided only by what’s in their hearts and the voice of destiny (okay, pre-recorded directions over a headset), Oedipus/Meg and Jocasta/Tom act out this hilarious yet poignant meditation on fate, free will, and the American sweethearts who defined rom-coms for a generation. A rotating cast of Theatre Horizon favorites takes the stage each night, making every performance a singular, unrepeatable event.

Thursday, September 25th @ 7:30 PM: Preview & Open Mic
In partnership with Power Street Theatre and Souletri, join us for a Post-Show Reception & Open Mic Night immediately following the Thursday, Thursday, September 25th performance of Oedipus in Seattle at Theatre Horizon.
Tickets to the preview performance Oedipus in Seattle start at $25 and include entry to the Post-Show Reception & Open Mic Night on Thursday, April 4th.
Friday, September 26 @ 7:30 PM: Opening Night

In order to make sure our shows are accessible to everyone, the second Friday of each production in our 21st season is Front Row Friday, with all seats in the front row available for just $15. Make sure to purchase yours early before they all sell out!
